Monteith Ave Fire

On Monday, January 16, 2023 shortly before 3:00 a.m. the Stratford Police Service received a report of a structure fire on Monteith Avenue, in the City of Stratford. 

Police attended alongside thre Stratford Fire Department to find the business of Superior Sealers engulfed in flames. 

Due to the size of the fire, along ith various explosions from within the building, the area was closed off to the public. 

A primary search of the building showed that there were no occupans or animals within the building, and no injuries were sustained as a result of the fire. 

Although the cause of the fire is unknown at this time, the Stratford Police Service is committed to conducting a thorough investigation into this matter, alongside our partners at the Stratford Fire Department. At this time, we are asking for owners of business or residences in the area with video surveillance to please check the footage prior to the time the fire began and contact police if any suspicious activity was observed. We are also asking for anyone who was in the area during the time leading up to the fire to contact us if any suspicious activity was observed.
